It was awesome! Started off a little slow but picked up by 10am. Hooked into a few bows but it was mostly browns. All really nice sized fish. Stopped by the ponds as I was leaving hooked a huge bow. Solid day for sure.
Started the two day trip with an a.m. visit to Ark Anglers to talk with Braden about current river conditions, hatch info., etc.
Midge Larva and pupa were the mainstays with the possibility of golden stone nymphs working as they are currently molting.
Fished March 5 and 6 from mid/late morning thru mid afternoon.
Caught many nice browns in the 10-14" range, one around 16" and one rainbow of about 15". Quite a few on a Buckskin and others on Jujubees.
Flows were around 210 cfs with water temps around 39-42 and very clear.
Both days saw air temps in the high 40's, with partially cloudy and windy conditions.
Nice stretch of water, good parking and river access, although I never made it all the way up to the upstream boundary as the rocks are difficult to walk on and you are restricted to staying along river/riverbank. (and I was having plenty of fun fishing the lower spots).
Really beautiful views and peaceful fishing. .......I'll be back!
3/2/24 - Good property and easy access to the water. Plenty of decent runs to fish. Unfortunately for me it was an unbelievable windy day and fishing was nearly impossible. Caught two fish early in the day on a prince and frenchie. Gave up mid afternoon after fighting the wind for most of the day. Seined the river a few times, lots of big stoneflies in the net.
Fishing was excellent, current flows were perfect for winter fishing. The day was sunny and warmer, fish were eating leech patterns and small black/brown midges.

3/11/24. Amazing Property. Great fishing down stream and I fished back up to the honey hole. 2-browns and 3 rainbows
