Fished this in late October and water was low and clear. Fish were difficult until we switched to streamers and started taking fish in all the likely spots. There was plenty of water to fish and did not see another angler all day. It would be easy to assume there are no big fish in here but that would be a mistake. There are some deeper holes with some BIG fish. The Redstone Inn is awesome if you have time to stay a night.
Great service and amenities and easy access to the river. We fished in later October and fishing started out slow until we dialed in the right rig. There is plenty of water to fish particularly if you head to the more upstream (southern) access points. We had the water all to ourselves.
The water was low, as to be expected this time of year. It was fully sunny and the water was clear making fishing difficult at best. I caught three browns, my friend didn't catch anything.
The customer service was excellent. I'll be more careful in my timing for private water again in the future due to weather and river flow conditions.
Great piece of water. Several solid specimens were brought to hand. A bit of ice around in the AMs'. Flows around 250. It was a total streamer game with light tippets. Water was super clear.
We caught some small to medium browns. Water was fast and overall it was some tough technical fishing. Weather was beautiful. The river is impeccably maintained with and exceptionally easy to find with extremely convenient parking. Rare Waters signage was present and clear as were the boundaries. Would definitely fish it again!
