This property is incredible. It’s possibly the best private stretch of water within a 2-hour drive of Denver. Offering over one mile of fly fishing access to The South Platte River, the property’s watershed and trout habitat were newly restored by Freestone Aquatics in the the Fall of 2021. It sits just below 11 Mile Reservoir with plenty of opportunities to net wild trout! Anglers can expect to catch 12-20″ rainbow and brown trout in addition to stunning views of mountains and wildlife. A small elk herd calls this area their home. The last time our team fished this property, we netted over 100 fish in two days. Accessing the river is easy for younger anglers and people with mobility issues.

The property cannot be booked more than 10 days in advance.

Please allow up to 2 business days for booking confirmations.

Due to livestock and other concerns, dogs and other pets are NOT permitted on this property.

Enjoyed the day on Beat 3. Had to work it pretty hard, mainly with baetis emergers. Very nice area. Lost more than we caught, fishing was a little sporadic.

We had a wonderful day at this location. The bathroom is clean and very well care for. The fishing was fantastic. We got lucky it was a windy day, so the fish were right on the hoppers… caught many and loss quite a few. Highly recommend this location.

Classic Colorado. Lots of runs and bends to fish. Dry fly action with small mayflies can be fire!!

Had a great time on this property! Beautiful landscapes and views of the mountains. Saw deer and elk hugging the trees surrounding the property and caught some nice rainbows. Highly recommend a day at Abell!

Beautiful property and an incredible amount of fish! Mostly Rainbows.

3 miles of water with 1 mile beats. Have fished all three and had fun.

Classic meandering stream. The fish are spooky and are a nice challenge at times. Have had great success on dries and nymphing. Love this property.

Exceptional property. You can tell the landowner cares about the trout habitat and ecosystem. Beautiful views and nice amenities like portajons, picnic tables, etc. We will be back.

Spectacular property… Gin clear and easily spooked fish today… Caught fish on baetis nymphs, one on a BWO dry and a 20″ rainbow that took a foam Yellow Sally.
