Roaring trip fantastic. Have to think on this one. Lake fishing with variety of attacks. Transition to river with a complete different mind set. Watch your tippet weight. Large fish!

Fished May 14 & 15 with 2 buddies during runoff season. The fisheries variety was great. The large trout pond was perfect for my less experienced buddy as the bows and brownies ate his hopper, streamers, and stone nymph offerings. My experienced buddy and I pounded the RF. In spite of high volume at 1,000+ CFS and off-color, we still had 20-fish days on any nymph as long as it was dredging the bottom and we covered much of the 1-mile length. Hooked into numerous great fish but needed 2x-3x to get them to the net vs the 4x-5x we had…lesson learned in those runoff conditions and bows & brownies well over the 20″ range. The hosts are really amazing and added to the great overall experience. Will definitely return.

Fished 4/1 and had the place to myself. Beautiful location with fantastic trout water. Host was very helpful and friendly. All in all, it was a great trip with plenty of large trout in the net. Looking forward to coming again and camping a few nights.

It’s simple. You just pay as you book. Anyone can book our locations! Property access starts at $125 per angler per day. Subscriptions aren’t required but Cutthroat subscribers enjoy perks like $25 off every booking and river reports for each trip. Spend more time on the water and let us worry about the rest!

Landowners have at least one mile of river, stream or creek running through their property. Each property is vetted by RareWaters staff to ensure a premium fly fishing experience.

Right now, we’re focused on Colorado and Wyoming. But don’t worry, we plan to list properties in other states soon. Our goal is to provide you with new water access no matter where you’re traveling.

We offer subscriptions to all anglers. Subscriptions offer anglers discounted rod fees, priority booking and more. $25 of every subscription is donated to a fly fishing nonprofit like Trout Unlimited, Fishing the Good Fight, Casting for Recovery and Project Healing Waters.

After we receive your payment, RareWaters sends anglers a detailed property map including directions and GPS coordinates. We strongly encourage all anglers to save the GPS coordinates into their smartphones before leaving cell service. Google Maps is our preferred app for directions.
