Three of us fished this property early in the week. We only had the afternoon to fish, but it was a great experience. The property owner Had was very polite and helpful and provided us with the tour and boundries. This section of the Roaring Fork has it all; deep holes, pocket water, riffles, and nice bank fishing. The flows were low enough to venture out and hit different parts of the river. We landed several fish in the 18″ range on dry, dry dropper, and deep nymph rigs. Our time did not allow to fish the ponds, but we plan to return and give it a go on the lunkers that live there. Bug spray was a must!

We fished this spot last week. We waded in the river mostly with dry droppers and the fish seemed to take the dry’s most of the morning. After lunch the fish turned on to the dropper. I was having good success with Ants as the bottom fly. We had another fisherman do very well Euro nymphing off the banks into the very deep holes. I would go back to this place but be prepared for very strong water if you wade. We did not fish the ponds.

The landowner was very friendly and helpful. Started off fishing the river and knew it was going to be a great day after my second drift I had a nice bow on. Fishing was really good all morning and slowed a little as it warmed up. Never had an opportunity to fish the lakes because of lightning. Be sure to bring mosquito spray because they are relentless! First time fishing this property and I can’t wait to come back.
