Visit the beautiful San Luis Valley of Colorado and enjoy 1 mile of the North Channel of the Rio Grande River. The views at this property are absolutely stunning and the fishing is prime. This 3rd generation homestead was established over 100 years ago. The Rio Grande wraps around the ranch on both sides so you’re literally on an island. An island in Colorado!! Anglers can expect to catch 12-18″ brown, rainbow and cutthroat trout. Toss some streamers for big browns lurking in the deep pools! River access is easy, although you’ll have to hop over some barbed wire fencing.

Beautiful little stretch of the north channel of the Rio Grande. Lots of mayfly hatches. The scenery is worth the price of admission. Fishing is great too!

Second time fishing this terrific section of the Rio Grande. Haven’t quite figured out what the fish are keying in on..They’ve taken dries (hopper, caddis ,stonefly) and nymphs (caddis and stonefly haven’t hit any of the baetis patterns despite BWO and PMD hatches) but never on a consistent basis

Access is much easier upstream from the bridge near the parking..Also bring every kind of bug repellent you have, the mosquitoes are in full force away from the river

I also ran into one of the ranchers that owns the property and they couldn’t be nicer.. wonderful stewards of the land

Great location, beautiful ranch! The water was a little high and the shoreline access was limited in the lower section due to that but we fished the upper section with steamers and landed some really nice browns! Had a flash from a fish that was over 20”! When the water drops, I’ll be heading back!
