Great location at the confluence of the South and Middle Forks of the South Platte. The day I went the flows were low, water was gin clear and the fish were spooky. Fished the South Fork first, but mostly saw hits from sub 5” fish. Made my way to the Middle Fork and the flows were better and the fish bigger. Had to deal with some tough wind conditions, but managed to bring several 15-18” fish into the net using larger hoppers or Hippy Stompers close to the grassy banks. Camped right next to the river, which was great. Owner’s son and caretaker both came by to say hi and give me some fishing beta. All in all a great day on the water,

Cool property with access to a decent stretch of river. Not sure it hits the mile mark. Fishing was just okay during our stay. Caught as many suckers as we did trout. I’m sure the heavy storms didn’t help. There was an old barn right next to the river that provided us much needed shelter during the storms. Camped in a RTT right next to the river which was amazing! The onsite property caretaker was available for questions and even helped us get access to bathrooms which was much appreciated. Would recommend @ lowest fee option for sure.

Wonderful little stretch of the Middle Fork…First time and the clarity was really off the day I fished..In the short time the water started to clear before the thunderstorms hit the fishing really picked up..Can’t wait to go back!

Right now, we’re focused on the Western United States. But don’t worry, we plan to list properties in other states soon. Our goal is to provide you with new water access no matter where you’re traveling.

We offer subscriptions to all anglers. Subscriptions offer anglers discounted rod fees, priority booking and more. $25 of every subscription is donated to Trout Unlimited, our partners in conservation.

After we receive your payment, RareWaters sends anglers a detailed property map including directions and GPS coordinates. We strongly encourage all anglers to save the GPS coordinates into their smartphones before leaving cell service. Google Maps is our preferred app for directions.
